Very sad that PC World went out of paper copy and this is the best replacement they could find. I'd cancel it right now, but I'm going to allow some time for it to get better. Let me think??????? So many I can't even begin to count. I gave up trying to use it on my iPad because it never ever worked properly. Always a technical problem occurring or error message blaming the problem due to the connection.
On my computer. Well first of all the interface is extremely awkward and clumsily to use when you actually have the page open.
I have a iMac and HAVE to use the mouse because none of my hand or finger gestures work on my scroll pad. That's really annoying. So you go to use the mouse and your left with this very small scroll bar at the bottom of the screen. I can live with that but what drives me crazy is the stupid scroll bar you use to move the pages around.
If you don't get your curser exactly in the right spot you the scroll bar disappears or goes up and down. Right now I can't use my Zinio Reader 4 on the computer so I'm trying to read my magazines online and I keep getting error messages saying that I'm unable to down load the page.
Total fail. I've wasted three hours of my life on this rubbish. I won't be buying anything from Zinio again until I can read it in something reliable like Foxit Reader.
Read reply 1. Can you update your review and say what device you were using? Just trying to install the app is frustrating. Adobe Air will not install using Chrome. Using IE I had no problem. Now I'm trying to download my purchased magazines but for two days straight it has told me it is "unable to download try again later". And customer service is the worst!
Talked to a guy named "Pablo" last time I called who lied about the price of my subscription to get me to renew. I had to call back again to reverse the charge to what I was promised. I have two issues left and it's bye bye Zinio.
If you like frustrating app installs, DRM that only allows you to use their app to read the magazines, problems downloading purchased reading material, then by all means sign up. FYI, If you have the magazine sent to your house through other companies on the net, the price is the same or cheaper for the actual content and you can do whatever you want with it when your done! Unreliable, won't load new content, help is hopeless, fixes don't work. I am fed up with Zinio now.
