I hear from my Battlefront-faithful friends on the PS2 versions that it's not very comparable to the spirit of the original, but as someone who only played those ones occasionally when I was younger, I just don't have the experience to really discuss that. What I can say is that this game, by itself, is hours of entertaining and diverse online multiplayer gameplay.
These different game modes feel like different angles of playing out the Star Wars universe, from piloting X-Wings to clashing lightsabers between Vader and Luke. The game doesn't get too deep, however, and often leaves me desiring more. The amount of heroes that can be played and maps to be explored may leave more to be desired. I believe these are two key elements that make the game not feel whole by itself. My biggest complaint about this game is the single player, which is basically in the form of tutorials or solo attempts at challenge maps.
